Breaking Barriers: A Journey from Silence to the Stage – The Story of Mohammad Tabrizian

Mohammad Tabrizian
There was a time when Mohammad Tabrizian wasn’t the one holding the mic. A time when silence felt safer than speech, and thoughts remained unspoken. But today, he stands on stages across the UAE and UK, not only as a speaker—but as a voice for others still finding theirs.
This is not just a career path. It’s a journey—from silence to the stage.
The Early Years: When Words Were Weighty
Born into a richly multicultural environment and fluent in English, Arabic, and Farsi, Tabrizian grew up surrounded by dialogue, yet often felt the pressure of saying the "right" thing. In a world where identity was layered and expectations ran deep, he learned that speaking up wasn’t always easy—but it was always powerful.
His breakthrough came during his university years at the University of Sharjah, where he studied Communication Studies. There, he began to understand the mechanics of human connection—the role of storytelling, rhetoric, and tone. His final-year project, “The Power of Spoken Word in Emirati Youth Engagement,” revealed not only his academic insight but his emotional commitment to the art of speech.
Discovering the Power of Voice
The next chapter of his journey unfolded in the UK, where Mohammad pursued a Master’s in Public Speaking and Professional Communication at the University of Leeds. Immersed in a new cultural environment, he examined how speeches—parliamentary or TEDx—could move masses, shape policies, and shift perspectives. It was here that Tabrizian shed his hesitation. What once was silence became strength.
“I didn’t just study speech—I found mine,” he would later say.
Turning Purpose into Platform
After earning a Certification in Cross-Cultural Communication from the British Council in Dubai, Mohammad returned to the region not as a student, but as a speaker. From 2016 to 2019, he traveled across the Emirates as a motivational speaker with the UAE Ministry of Youth Affairs, empowering students to lead with confidence, speak with conviction, and turn ideas into impact.
But he didn’t stop there.
In 2019, Tabrizian launched the Eloquence Academy in London—a training ground for emerging voices. The academy doesn’t just teach public speaking—it nurtures authenticity. Through courses, mentorship, and the annual “Voices of Tomorrow” summit, Mohammad has created a space where silence is replaced by stories, and uncertainty by expression.
A Global Voice, A Grounded Mission
Today, as a visiting lecturer at both the University of Birmingham and Zayed University, Mohammad doesn’t just teach students how to speak. He teaches them why to speak. His bestselling books—including “Stage Whisper” and “Bridging the Gulf”—explore the emotional and cultural layers of communication, weaving personal narrative with professional technique.
Off-stage, you’ll find him sharing poetry in Farsi at open mic nights, horseback riding through Al Qudra, or podcasting cross-cultural conversations on his show “Voices Beyond Borders.”
But his mission remains steady: to help others break their own barriers—to move from silence to the stage, just as he once did.
“The moment you decide your voice matters, the world begins to listen,” Tabrizian reflects. “And when one person speaks up, a thousand others find the courage to do the same.”
